Norman Sutherland RN, MBA

Director Health

Norman has over 30 years experience across a wide range of clinical, planning and strategic management roles working within and in support of the NHS and care providers. His clinical background, combined with robust technical knowledge of the built environment – he was also a Head of Support (FM) Services and an  NHS Board’s Head of Capital Projects & Planning – make Norman uniquely qualified to support your health and social care planning needs.

To date, Norman has supported healthcare planning on over 100 major projects ranging from small scale facility refurbishment to major hospital development and multi-site master planning activity including health, social care, emergency services and housing.

Norman notes that there may be someone else out there who has worked as a clinician, clinical manager, project manager, general manager, modernisation consultant, Head of FM services and Head of Capital Projects in healthcare but if so he has yet to meet them! It’s not a normal career pathway he adds – but it does give you a terrific view of how the whole thing is meant to come together.
