Master planning
“Most commonly (a masterplan) is a plan that describes and maps an overall development concept, including present and future land use, urban design and landscaping, built form, infrastructure, circulation and service provision. It is based upon an understanding of place and it is intended to provide a structured approach to creating a clear and consistent framework for development”.

HGHCP recognise the huge and increasing role that master planning must play in all areas of public life at a site-specific, regional, supra-regional and national level. We also realise that for such plans to be meaningful, they must be based on what all the available evidence tells us future service delivery models will look like.
HGHCP staff have supported numerous master-planning exercises across the public sector, making us ideally placed to support your master planning needs.
